Why this book?
To show that: The technical revolution of the past 100 years have made the world ever smaller. That thinking nationalistic is outdated, and does not resolve world problems such as safety, pollution, hunger, poverty, unemployment and the striving after power. That we need to think globally and act in world interests. That for that reason the United Nations need to be reformed to a true federal United Nations, with a world parliament and lawgiving, judicial and executive force (i.e. a world police force). That member states surrender a portion of their sovereignty to the United Nations, so that this body is able to guarantee safety in the world, which will enable it to fulfil its other functions as well.
It is the aim of the writer to make a small contribution in this direction.
