Leo van der Heijdt was born on January 2, 1940 in Voorburg in The Netherlands. After having completed his High School education at St. Aloysius College in The Hague and obtaining his teaching certificate for French in Rotterdam, he entered into service with the European Patent Office in Rijswijk. His retirement gives him enough free time to spend on his fascinating study and passion.
