    Stefano Frollano

Stefano Frollano (born Rome, Italy, 1962) is a veteran of the Italian music scene. Since first picking up the guitar in 1975, he has played over 600 gigs with 60`s revival, blues rock and ``unplugged`` bands, featuring both covers and originals. In 1996 he released his first CD with ``The Skydog``, a track from which was included on a CBS / Sony anthology featuring blues bands living and performing in Italy. In 1998, one his songs - a collaboration with Romanian musicians - was featured daily on the Romanian National Radio.
In 1984, Stefano extended his career from writing music to writing about music. One of the bands - ``The Blue Flares`` - included Francesco Lucarelli, with whom Stefano began to collaborate on the highly regarded CSNY fanzine ``Wooden Nickel`` and in 1991, Arcana Editions published Stefano`s work on Neil Young (now out of print). In 1992, he and Francesco shared the limelight with their musical heroes, when they appeared on stage in Rome with CSN. Since that momentous occasion, Stefano has quit Skydog, and his been recording a CD - to be released in 2002 - with friend Lucarelli and fret wizard Jeff Pevar, stellar sideman to Ray Charles, James Taylor, Rickie Lee Jones and most recently, part of the highly regarded band Crosby, Pevar and Raymond.

Now, with his long-time friends Herman Verbeke, Luus van Diggelen and Francesco Lucarelli, Stefano has written this book, celebrating both the music of CSNY that has inspired him through the years and also the love of life. Enjoy.
