    Francesco Lucarelli

Singer-songwriter, photographer and engineer (in that order), Francesco Lucarelli was born in Roma, Italy 1963. Hit by the music bug at the tender age of six, when Bach, The Beatles and Bacharach began to fire his imagination, he started listening to CSN&Y; in 1976 and since then has built a renowned archive of audio, visual and printed material on the band.

In 1983 he founded the infamous CSN&Y; fanzine ``Wooden Nickel``. Published both in Italian and English, it was a source book for not only the legions of fans in Europe and in the United States, but also reached readers as far as Australia and Japan, helping keep the CSNY flame alive in the teeth of mainstream media disinterest. In 1990, he and Mauro Coscia used their own money to publish ``The Crosby Stills Nash & Young Photospecial``, a labour of love featuring never-seen-before pictures of CSNY, which drew on the extensive archives of renowned west coast photographer, Henry Diltz.

Since meeting CSN for the first time in 1988, Francesco has built a relationship of friendship, mutual respect and admiration with the band. In 1991, he helped compile the booklet accompanying the acclaimed 4 CD ``CSN`` box set, and more recently one of his photos is featured on the new Crosby/CPR CD ``Just Like Gravity``.

Currently Francesco is focussing on his own musical talents. Along with long-time friend Stefano Frollano, he is working on a CD tentatively titled ``The Never Ending Sessions``. This features both the guitar work of acclaimed guitarist Jeff Pevar (guitar player in David Crosby`s band, CPR, with a track record that also includes Ray Charles and Rickie Lee Jones) and contributions from other well-known musicians.
