Dr. Niek Frans studied psychology (majoring in social psychology and corporate sociology) at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam (1965).
He continued his studies in practical research in a therapeutic community for adult delinquents in the Netherlands (1967), a therapeutic children`s community in Sweden (1968/1969) and therapeutic family centers in Canada (1971).
Dr. Frans received his PhD in social sciences from the State University of Groningen in 1977.
Since 1966 he has worked as psychologist and consultant to a treatment institution for both adults and youth, in a general hospital, in an open prison, in a center for relationship issues, and in an institution for therapeutic family centers.
Niek Frans started his own psychological consultancy bureau in 1984.
